Welcome! I’m Dr. William Selig (you can call me Bill), a psychologist dedicated to helping individuals and couples build stronger, more fulfilling relationships.

Has your relationship developed repetitive negative cycles that leave you feeling lonely and disconnected? Are you navigating the unique complications that neurodiversity or bipolar disorder bring to a couple? Perhaps you feel isolated because of your social anxiety, compulsive behaviors, perfectionism, chronic depression, aspergers, or mild autism. Is it hard to get close but not too close? I can provide the expertise, guidance, and tools you need to foster meaningful change.

I use a compassionate, evidence-based approach to address the complexities of relational struggles. My couples work grounds itself in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), an attachment and depth-focused method. When concrete skills are needed, I bring my expertise in RO-DBT and DBT to bear. I am also certified as a neurodiverse couples therapist.

I believe in the possibility of true transformation, and I’ve watched it happen again and again with my help.
Let’s work together to uncover strengths, address challenges, and create lasting, positive change in your relationships.

Welcome to William Selig, Berkeley Psychotherapy.
